The Department of Accounting and Finance at Landmark University houses two academic programs namely Accounting and Banking and Finance. The two programs run both undergraduate degrees and postgraduate degrees. All our academic degrees are fully accredited by the Nigerian University Commission (NUC) and the relevant professional bodies namely; the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) among others.
The BSc (Hons) in Accounting or Banking and Finance is a 4 years programme of 2 Semesters (Alpha and Omega) each session. The Alpha semester runs from September to December with continuous assessment and end-term examination. Omega Semesters starts in January to June with continuous assessment and end of term examination. At the end of the 4 years, successful students at 400 level will graduate with a BSc degree in Accounting or Banking and Finance.
The department offers postgraduate degrees such as Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Masters of Sciences (MSc) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Accounting or Banking and Finance. These degrees run for one, two or three academic years for PGD, MSc, and PhD respectively.
Our collaboration with ICAN and CIBN coupled with our innovative homegrown Landmark Professional Accountancy Centre (L-PAC) enable our amiable students to pass their professional qualifying examination of ICAN on or before graduation. Thus graduating with three (3) certificates (BSc, AAT, and ACA). This gives our students an edge over other graduates in the labour market as young professionals.
